About

A Technology professional passionate about making our world better through innovation and collective intelligence woven into the fabric of our world.

I believe that we are on a turning point in our evolutionary development, our economies cannot advance using the ways of the past. A world in which inequity and poverty is rife whilst millions anesthetize themselves with media induced minutia.

A pragmatic solution is needed to address some of the “tough” questions of our time in Energy, Mobility, Healthcare – achieving optimal throughput, increasing capacity and improving customer service all whilst managing costs and environmental impact. Sensors, intelligent control systems and a plethora of interconnected data can provide us with the raw information on how to make smart decisions, setting a new course and building a firm foundation on which “all” have the ability to live a better quality life whilst reversing harm to our planet.

As Eric Schmidt CEO of Google said in 2010, “Computers will clearly handle the things we aren’t good at, and we will handle the things computers clearly aren’t good at”. A systems orientated approach allows for a “big picture” hardware and software approach that monitors, analyzes and makes changes that are represented in the physical world, ensuring that the entire system is functioning at its most optimal.

It is these systems that will become ubiquitous and more pervasive in our cities and infrastructure as the only way forward is doing more with less.
